Ten years ago today, the Yuma Regional Cancer Center was unveiled to the community. Not only did we open the doors to a new, state-of-the-art cancer facility, but we marked the beginning of comprehensive cancer care for our community members – the kind of care they deserve. YRMC has demonstrated its commitment to top-notch cancer care by implementing many innovative advancements. We acknowledge, however, that our success belongs to our entire community. Without partnerships with medical professionals, community organizations, patients and families, these successes would not be possible. With plenty more to come, we look back with pride on our significant milestones and their positive impact on our friends and neighbors.

Jointly, with my colleagues, we believe in the power of awareness. This October, we have come together to raise our voices and spread the vital message of early detection and self-care for breast cancer. Colorful photos remind us that even in the middle of challenges, we have the ability to act and give hope among us. Know Your Fruits! is a project implemented as part of the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The aim of the campaign is to remind women how important regular preventive breast examinations are, as well as to show solidarity with people fighting against cancer. My colleagues and I are proud to invite you to the challenge to join this campaign and motivate women to undergo preventive breast examinations in October! We invite all interested people to take part in the #KnowYourFruits challenge. The rules are simple: 1. Take a colorful photo with fruit 2. Insert them into the post by adding a description of the challenge 3. Nominate more people I personally nominate: Joanna Ciolek-Hummel Alicja Zalewska-Choma, PMP Agata Siudy You have 48 hours to respond! Good luck #KnowYourFruits #Challenge #OctobHER #InternationalBreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #TogetherAgainstCancer
